Java is corrupted on my laptop and will not allow me to open up a business application I use. The error message I get when I try to either uninstall Java or reinstall/update Java and/or the business application is: Internal Error 2330.
C: Program Files (x86) Java ire6 lib zi America Argentina. I don't know if this is related to IE8 or not (I saw some JAVA/IE8 discussions in the Answers forum). I use Firefox most of the time. Running maintenance reported a corruption date in Feb 2010. My business program continued to work until last week.
I've deleted the business application and tried to uninstall JAVA, of which there were two listed in my programs file. The one remaining that will not uninstall is JAVA 6 Update 17. The one that uninstalled successfully, I think, was JAVA 6 Update 16 (x86).
Hi bruncar3, I would suggest you to run Windows Installer Cleanup Utility to remove Java completely from the computer. To uninstall Java, using Windows Installer Cleanup Utility Download Windows Installer CleanUp Utility Once you install Windows Installer Cleanup Utility, it will list the programs in the Windows Installer Cleanup dialog box. Select the programs that you want in the Installed Products list in the Windows Installer CleanUp dialog box. After you make this selection, the utility removes only Windows Installer configuration information that is related to those programs.
